I finally got my H to the RE's office this morning to get the blood work that he needed done (infectious disease screening). I needed to go with him because we had a consent that needed to be signed in person in order to avoid getting it notarized. Yay for getting those two things done, finally! I'm actually starting to get excited about this treatment cycle now that we're getting all of our ducks in a row.
Fertility Friend moved my crosshairs again (back to CD 19 from CD 21), so I think I'm 11 dpo. If that's the case, my period should be here by Monday or Tuesday, but if the later O day was correct, it may be closer to Wednesday or Thursday. I'm actually really hoping it works out so that my CD 3 blood work (and ultrasound?) appointment falls on the weekend. Fingers crossed.

One step closer..
Today, I got home from work to a box full of fertility meds on my front porch. Happy early birthday to me!
I'm either 5 or 7 dpo depending on which O date I believe (FF moved my CHs from CD 19 to 21), and my period should be here in about a week. Then, I'll most likely be starting my first medicated cycle. I've got my 5 Clomid tablets, ovidrel syringe, and two week's work of progesterone ready to go.
My biggest worry it about the amount of work I'll be missing throughout this cycle. I need to go with H next week for his blood work and to sign the consent for treatment together (in order to avoid getting it notarized), and unless that magically lines up with my CD 3 appointment, I'll end up going into work late two days next week. Then, I'll miss another morning around CD 12 for monitoring, a few hours whenever we schedule the IUI, and then probably a morning again when I need to go in for betas. I work about 50 minutes from my RE's office, so even a blood work appointment at 7:30am means I'm an hour late for work. Honestly, I'm just afraid people will assume I'm pregnant and start asking questions. Ugh.
IF sucks, but I'm trying to look on the bright side. Maybe just one medicated IUI cycle will be all we need.

Got a PR today!
I ran my third 5k race today and I finished in 30:30 for a 9:48/mile average! Prior to today, my best race time was 31:44, and my best time at home was 31:20. It was hot, I was miserable, and I felt like I was really slow, so I was really surprised by my official time.
That time was good for 53/115 and 10/25 in my age group. Middle of the pack...but there were some serious runners there, so I'm ok with it. No matter where I finished, I'm SUPER excited about my time! Woo!

Stupid Thyroid
I went for my recent blood draw this morning. My TSH levels are at 4.04. Lower than the 5.8 last time, and the 8 that it was initially, but still higher than the 2 that the RE wants. The plan is to start my first medicated IUI cycle in October, so probably just over two weeks from now. I know my TSH levels aren't going to be low enough at that point, so now I need to put a call in to my RE to see if we want to plan for October since my levels are dropping or if we need to wait until November. My next TSH level check won't be until mid-October. Blah.

We Have a Plan
I had my post-testing follow up consultation with my RE last week. I still have to have my thyroid levels checked this upcoming week (it was 5.8 three weeks ago, so still well above the level of 2 they want it at), but we have a plan for our first treatment cycle.
I'll be on clomid for CD 5-10, and the I'll go for an u/s around CD 12-14 to see what my response was. After that, if things look good, we'll go ahead with an IUI with trigger.
Ideally, we'd love to get the ball rolling with that cycle ASAP, but I'm now on CD 3, so the timing won't work out for this cycle. Even if I went in to check my TSH levels tomorrow, the earliest I'd get the results would be Wednesday (they only run TSH on Wednesdays), which will be CD 6....later than my RE wants me to start the clomid. My H is going to be out of town for work during the week I'm due to ovulate anyway, so my October cycle just makes more sense. I already got a call from the pharmacy letting me know that they have the orders for the clomid, trigger shot, and progesterone supplements, so we'll be good to go next month.
Even though we're still in a holding pattern (story of my freakin' life), it's nice to have a plan.

HSG and Underactive Thyroid
My blood work results from Monday are still slowly trickling in. On Wednesday afternoon, I got a call telling me that my TSH levels came back high. Anything .4-5 is considered normal, and ideally, they want it around 2 for TTC. Mine came back at 8.02. I had no idea I had a thyroid issue as I have no symptoms, but I'm on medication now to try to lower those levels and they'll recheck the level in 4-6 weeks.
Then, yesterday, I had my HSG. It sucked. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it was pretty bad. I hope I don't ever have to do that again. The radiologist said that my right tube is clear, but he couldn't tell if my left one was. My left tube is the one I had surgery on, so it would make sense if it's blocked. I won't know his definite assessment until my RE gets the results and gives me a call.
So, for now, I'm just waiting for them to receive the rest of my blood work and the HSG results. At that point, we'll be able to schedule a consultation to discuss our next steps. My guess is that we'll have to hold off on any treatment cycles until my TSH levels are lower. We'll see.

Testing Has Begun
My initial consult with the RE was on June 24th, but since I was mid-cycle at that point, I needed to wait until my period started to begin all of the testing. We made sure to schedule H's SA while we were waiting, though. He had the SA on July 3rd, and from the looks of it, everything seems to be within the normal range.
I started a new cycle last Friday, so yesterday (CD 4), I went in for blood work and an ultrasound. The doctor said that everything looked great with my ultrasound, so that was good news. The only labs that are back at this point are FSH and Estradiol, and both were in the normal range.
Tomorrow, I need to go back to the RE's for a pregnancy test because my HSG is Thursday. I'm still a nervous wreck about getting the HSG done, but I'm excited that by late Thursday morning, that part will be done. Then, we can schedule an appointment with the RE to go over all of the test results and come up with a plan.
I'm ready to get this show on the road at this point.
