It's been a while since I've posted, so I figured I'd give an update. We did our first IUI cycle in October (clomid, trigger, IUI, progesterone), and it wasn't successful. We've had the same treatment plan for this cycle, and my IUI was on 11/19. Betas are scheduled for 12/3, but if I'm getting negatives at home at that point, I'll just call me RE's office and wait for CD 3 blood work.
Since it's Thanksgiving, it only seems appropriate make a list of all of the things that I'm thankful for.
1. I'm thankful that my insurance covers IF testing/treatment 100%, so other than copays for meds, this process hasn't cost us anything.
2. I'm thankful that I'm healthy enough to run and that I finished a 5 mile race with a decent time this morning (52:26).
3. I'm thankful for the turkey that's cooking in my oven and the rest of the yummy dinner that my husband and I will be eating in a few hours.
4. I'm thankful for my family, the yummy desserts I'm going to eat with them later, and the laughs I know we're going to have
5. I'm thankful for my job and coworkers. We had an awesome harvest festival with the kids yesterday, and I love that everyone on our team pitched in to make it fun for our students.
I could probably list lots of other things, but those were the first to come to mind. Hopefully I'll have something else to be thankful for in a few days.
Happy Thanksgiving!
